What We Do
The activities of the Center for Intefaith Studies, Inc. are:
1. To produce and recommend resources on the American religious scene and religious trends for individuals and churches.
2. To conduct interfaith and apologetic seminars (one to eight hours in length) in local churches, on college campuses, in retreat and other settings as requested.
3. To equip churches and mission teams seeking to understand and minister cross-culturally.
4. To conduct research on specific religious groups as requested by individuals, churches, and other groups.
5. To conduct formal conversations with other religious communions and faiths for mutual understanding.
6. To produce a quarterly newsletter, the CIS Interfaith Report, to share the research of the Center for Interfaith Studies, Inc.

More About Gary Leazer
Dr. Leazer received the B. A. degree from Mississippi College, the M. Div. and Ph. D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His doctoral dissertation was entitled "Communion with God in Eschatological Perspective According to Vaishnavism: A Study in Hindu-Christian Parallels." He has done graduate studies at North Texas State University and the University of Iowa.
Dr. Leazer has conducted over 1,200 seminars in forty-five states and five foreign countries since 1973.He has taught as guest instructor or adjunct professor at six undergraduate and graduate institutions. He is currently adjunct professor of religious studies at Mercer University's three Atlanta-area campuses. He teaches between fifteen and eighteen semester hours of classes each academic year. Most of his courses are introductions to the world religions.
